OVO is built so that both guests and owners feel safe. Here is the whole journey, step by step.

For guests

From your first search to handing back the key.

Find a home
Search by area, dates and number of guests. We review every home before it appears, so what you see is what you get.

Verify yourself once
You show an ID and take a selfie, it takes a couple of minutes. The host then knows who is coming, and you know the host is verified too.

Book or send a request
Some homes you book instantly. Others the host wants to approve first and answers within 24 hours. The money is reserved but only charged once the booking is confirmed.

Before the trip
Once the booking is confirmed you see the address and the arrival guide with check-in, wifi and tips. Questions go straight to the host.

During your stay
If you cannot get in, or the home is not as described, tap “Something is wrong” in your trip. We then help you under the OVO guarantee.

Afterwards
Leave a review. It helps the next guest and the host, and the host leaves one about you.

A co-host from OVO creates the listing, chooses guests, handles check-in, check-out and cleaning. You just create an account.

The fee is based on what the guest pays for nights and cleaning. No fixed costs — we only earn when you do.

Create an account and choose
Tell us about your home and choose whether to host it yourself or have a co-host. You can switch later.

The listing
Yourself: photos, texts, price and calendar in our listing tool. With a co-host: we build the listing and you approve it before it goes live.

We review
Before a home is published we check the photos, address and rules, and that you are allowed to rent it out.

The guests
All guests are ID-verified and introduce themselves. You, or your co-host, approve every request and have 24 hours to do so.

Payout
You connect a bank account through our payment partner Stripe. The money is paid out after check-in, minus OVO's fee.
